NextGen Software to ASME VIII div. 1 & 2 Ed. 2010 Addenda 2011
NextGen software, originally covering ASME VIII div.2 and recently integrated with ASME VIII div.1 (and WRC Bulletin 107 / 297 for nozzle load calculation) is now updated to Addenda 2011 of ASME Code. Both pressure vessels & heat exchangers can be calculated. Latest Software Updates
The EN 13445 software is now updated to the 2009 Edition, Issue 3 of the norm; the software for calculation of towers under wind and eartquake loads (with reference to ASME VIII div.1 code) has been revised & enhanced; programs for calculation of vessels of rectangular section are available according to ASME VIII div.1, EN 13445 & AD 2000

Sant'Ambrogio Software for pressure vessel design

Sant'Ambrogio can supply the following software packages for mechanical calculation and cost evaluation:

EN 13445 part 3

Software for mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with the harmonized standard EN 13445 part 3, i.e. the most important harmonized standard for the PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), allowing also the calculation in accordance with the advanced alternative methods of Annex G and GA for flange connections and Annex J for tubesheets. The complete software package includes modules for the calculation of horizontal and vertical vessels on supports, local loads, rectangular vessels, towers under wind and seismic loads; a program module also allows the fatigue assessment in accordance with Clauses 17 and 18.

ASME VIII Div. 1

Software for mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers according to ASME section VIII division 1 / TEMA (tubesheets can be calculated both in accordance with Asme UHX part and in accordance with TEMA); it includes programs for calculation of rectangular vessels to Appendix 13 and calculation of expansion bellows to EJMA.

ASME VIII Div. 2 NextGen

New NextGen release of the software for the mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers according to ASME sect. VIII div. 2 with 3D interface, complete material data base and enhanced reporting.

AD 2000

Software for mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers according to the German Code AD 2000 Merkblätter, including programs for the verification of vessels on supports (skirts, saddles, feet, support brackets and ring supports) to AD Merkblatt S3 and for fatigue assessment in accordance with AD Merkblatt S1 and S2; an additional program also allows calculation of rectangular vessels in accordance with B5/1.

CARVES - WRC Bulletin 107/297

Software for calculation of nozzle loads on cylindrical shells and spherical heads according to WRC Bulletin 107 / WRC Bulletin 297. It can be used as an integrated module in our EN 13445 / ASME VIII div.1 / AD 2000 / VSR calculation packages.

ZICK

Software for the calculation of horizontal vessels on saddles according to Zick method / PD 5500 (integrated for considering also horizontal wind and earthquake loadings).

COLOAS

Software for calculation of towers under wind and earthquake loads according to Brownell / Young method + ASME section VIII division 1.

EN 286

Software for mechanical design of simple pressure vessels according to EN 286.

VSR

Software for mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with the Italian code VSR (integrated with the Recommendations by CTI - Comitato Termotecnico Italiano - for the use of the Raccolte by ISPESL within the scope of the PED).

VSG

Software for mechanical design of steam generators in accordance with the Italian code VSG (integrated with the Recommendations by CTI - Comitato Termotecnico Italiano - for the use of the Raccolte by ISPESL within the scope of the PED).

STEMEC

Software for complete mechanical design of shell and tube heat exchangers according to ASME VIII div. 1 and TEMA, including tubesheet calculation to UHX part, calculation of weights and evaluation of material costs basing on the material prices stored in the data base. Optional modules also allow the calculation of workshop hours by means of customizable tables providing times and prices for all the possible shop operations (including weld deposits, welding of clad plates etc.). Another option of the program allows the generation of a drawing (including setting plan, scantling drawing and tubesheet layout) which can be customized by the user with its own standard and exported as DXF files to any CAD system. The optional interface with the H.T.R.I. program Xist for thermal design of shell & tube heat exchangers permits to carry out complete mechanical design starting from the results of the thermal calculation.

TRACCIA

Software for heat exchanger tubesheet layout (sample screen image) with a CAD module for modifying the tubesheet layout by means of a graphic interactive procedure.

PECOS

Software for cost evaluation of any type or shape of pressure vessels (towers, tanks, reactors etc.). Material data base and workshop tables are the same as for the program STEMEC above; additional tables give the possibility of considering tower trays, supports for vertical vessels, etc. New version with up-to-date user interface planned for future release.

FILE MANAGER

Software for integrating all SANT’AMBROGIO packages in a single suite of programs, for optimizing the management of input /output files through the creation of project /item folders and for customizing the calculation report.
