Norms and standards
- ASME SECTION VIII division 1 – is the classic American Pressure Vessel Standard for general applications. This standard, always considered in Sant’Ambrogio Pressure Vessel software, is available in the NEXTGEN suite of programs, which includes specific modules for the structural calculation of columns under wind and seismic loads, for the calculation of vessels of rectangular section according to Appendix 13 and of clamp connections according to Appendix 24 of ASME VIII div.1 ►
- ASME SECTION VIII division 2 – is the advanced American Pressure Vessel Standard generally used in pressure vessels and heat exchangers with critical design conditions, or where a Design by Analysis or a Fatigue Analysis is required. This standard is available in the NEXTGEN suite of programs, which includes specific modules for the structural calculation of columns under wind and seismic loads to ASME VIII div.2 and for the calculation of clamp connections according to Chapter 4.17 of ASME VIII div.2 ►
- EN 13445 part 3 – is the harmonized European Standard for Unfired Pressure Vessel calculations. It is available in the NEXTGEN suite of programs, which includes specific modules for the structural calculation of columns under wind and seismic loads to EN 13445, for the flange calculation according to Clause 11 of EN 13445 or according to EN 1591, for the calculation of flanged connections to Appendix G of EN 13445, for the calculation of tubesheets either to Clause 13 or to the alternative method of Annex J, for the calculation of vessels of rectangular section according to Clause 15 of EN 13445 etc. ►
- ISPESL VSR – is the Italian Pressure Vessel standard for Pressure Vessel calculations. It is available in the NEXTGEN suite of programs ►
- ISPESL VSG – is the Italian Pressure Vessel standard for calculations of steam generators. It is available in the CLASSIC suite of programs ►
- AD 2000 – is the German Pressure Vessel standard. It is available in the NEXTGEN suite of programs, which includes specific modules for the structural calculation of columns under wind and seismic loads to AD Merkblatt S 3/0 and Eurocodes 1993-1-6 and for the calculation of vessels of rectangular section according to AD Merkblatt B5/1 ►
- PD5500 – is the British Pressure Vessel standard. - WRC 107/297/537 are the Welding Research Council standards for the calculation of stresses induced in the walls of pressure vessels by forces and moments acting on nozzles and attachments. - PRESSURE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE (Directive 97/23 of the European Union) – is the European law for Pressure Equipment fabrication. All pressure equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, steam generators and piping) circulating within Europe shall be made in accordance with the Essential Safety Requirements of this law, whichever is the standard selected by the Manufacturer.
