Jacketed vessels

To enable the calculation of a jacketed vessel just follow these simple steps:

1. Enable “Jacketed vessel” option in the item properties page and define design conditions for the jacket:

2. Proceed to create first the inner vessel as usual, then add the jacket

3. Select the main vessel shell, the button “Add jacket” will turn on

4. Clicking on  the “Add jacket” button will add the external jacket shell. Insert jacket dimensions and material and set the offset L from the main shell selected at point 3:

5. The jacket will be placed around the vessel main shell:

6. It’s now possible to connect other components forming the jacket like cones, heads or jacket closures:
