From 21 to 24 February 2017 Sant’Ambrogio and TÜV Austria held a 4-day course on the design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in Vienna. Participants from different countries took advantage of this opportunity to learn more on pressure equipment design.
In addition to providing basic principles on the mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers, during the courses many calculation examples from the daily engineering practice were shown and the differences due to the application of ASME, EN 13445 and other codes were pointed out. Also advanced design methods (design by analysis) have been considered.
Participants were trained on how to achieve the optimization of the design, minimizing weight and cost of the equipment while maintaining compliance with the reference standards.
Future sessions of the course in Vienna will be announced with some months advance on our website.
